Give Our Readers An Overview of the Golf Course/Property
Everything you need for a perfect game. Whether you're taking a swing at unlimited balls on the driving range, tracking your distance on a GPS enabled golf cart or cooling off at the end of your round with a cold towel, it's easy to see why this is one of the best public golf courses in the region.

Designed by legend Tom Fazio, this world-class championship course was ranked in the top 30 casino golf courses in the U.S. by Golfweek. Created to highlight the natural surroundings, winding through lakes and over 2,200 trees, the par 71 course challenges players with water hazards and bunkers set amidst the beautiful rolling hills.

If Someone Was Looking To Golf In The Area, Why Should They Play Your Course?
Belterra Golf Club is one of the best courses you can play in the state of Indiana. Great design and layout by Tom Fazio. The course is always in top-notch shape and the guest service is outstanding. Your green fee includes unlimited range balls, GPS on your cart, Bottled water iced down on your cart & a cold scented towel when you complete your round.

What Tips or Local Knowledge Would You Provide To Help Them Score Better At Your Course?
We always suggest playing the proper tees. The course plays longer than the scorecard reads. The greens are elevated so grab extra club on you approach shots. The greens usually run between 9-10 on the Stimp meter. Play less break than you see.

Any recent changes to the golf course? Or any upcoming changes?
We just completed a $900,000 Greenside Bunker renovation. 27 total bunkers. The Better Billy Bunker System is outstanding. We could receive a 2-inch downpour and the bunkers are still in playable condition. No need to ever tell your group to play lift clean rake and place.

Recent Awards or What You Are Most Proud About The Course?
Top 50 Casino golf course in the US (Golfweek's Best 2023 Casino Courses) We anticipate climbing the list with the Bunker Renovation.

What Is The Signature, Most Talked About, or Most Photographed Hole?
Hole # 18 is considered to be our Signature hole. Hole 18 is a Par 5 with the Casino Hotel in the backdrop. it plays 522 yards from the tournament tees and is a risk reward for some. If you are attempting to reach the green in two you will have to hit all over water to a two-tiered green surrounded by three bunkers.

What Is Your Favorite Hole? Any Tips to Play It?
Same as above.

Must Have Dish or Drink after the round at the 19th Hole?
Many great items to choose from. My favorite is the Out of Bounds Burger & Fries.

For the traveling golfer, do you have lodging onsite or partner with any area hotels?
Life is better with good company. Belterra is a true resort experience offering non-stop gambling action, thrilling entertainment, incredible food, comfortable accommodations, and world-class golf in beautiful Southern Indiana. Best of all, it's all in one place so escape from the ordinary and into the best that life has to offer. Belterra has 608 rooms. Pet friendly as well.

Who Holds Course Record and What Was Their Score?
Brad Wilder 66 Tournament Record from the Tournament Tees in 2002. Brad won the Fifth Third Celebrity Golf Classic.

About: Brian Weis

Brian Weis Brian Weis is the mastermind behind GolfTrips.com, a vast network of golf travel and directory sites covering everything from the rolling fairways of Wisconsin to the sunbaked desert layouts of Arizona. If there’s a golf destination worth visiting, chances are, Brian has written about it, played it, or at the very least, found a way to justify a "business trip" there.

As a card-carrying member of the Golf Writers Association of America (GWAA), International Network of Golf (ING), Golf Travel Writers of America (GTWA), International Golf Travel Writers Association (IGTWA), and The Society of Hickory Golfers (SoHG), Brian has the credentials to prove that talking about golf is his full-time job. In 2016, his peers even handed him The Shaheen Cup, a prestigious award in golf travel writing—essentially the Masters green jacket for guys who don’t hit the range but still know where the best 19th holes are.

Brian’s love for golf goes way back. As a kid, he competed in junior and high school golf, only to realize that his dreams of a college golf scholarship had about the same odds as a 30-handicap making a hole-in-one. Instead, he took the more practical route—working on the West Bend Country Club grounds crew to fund his University of Wisconsin education. Little did he know that mowing greens and fixing divots would one day lead to a career writing about the best courses on the planet.

In 2004, Brian turned his golf passion into a business, launching GolfWisconsin.com. Three years later, he expanded his vision, and GolfTrips.com was born—a one-stop shop for golf travel junkies looking for their next tee time. Today, his empire spans all 50 states, and 20+ international destinations.

On the course, Brian is a weekend warrior who oscillates between a 5 and 9 handicap, depending on how much he's been traveling (or how generous he’s feeling with his scorecard). His signature move" A high, soft fade that his playing partners affectionately (or not-so-affectionately) call "The Weis Slice." But when he catches one clean, his 300+ yard drives remind everyone that while he may write about golf for a living, he can still send a ball into the next zip code with the best of them.

Whether he’s hunting down the best public courses, digging up hidden gems, or simply outdriving his buddies, Brian Weis is living proof that golf is more than a game—it’s a way of life.
